With 10 Siblings, Pat has found herself baking all of her life. She started baking cakes, pies and cobblers at holiday events for her families enjoyment.

Over time, Pat found that she truly loved baking and designing cakes. In 1990 she began creating wedding cakes for friends. Pat's wedding cakes were so unique and popular that friends started recommending her to others about to have an event.

The result?

Her circle of customers began to grow by word of mouth. In 2005 Pat officially launched Cakes By Pat as a business enterprise. Since her opening, she has baked and delivered cakes (and other confections) all over the Richmond Tri Cities area as well as Hampton Roads, DC and Maryland areas. Her positive reputation continues to grow as well as her fan base! Need proof? Since this website was launched on Christmas day 2010 there have been more than 13,000 hits and more than 1,700 unique IP addresses have visited! All of this for a home based bakery!
